Sketching Event: The Hangar Flight Museum

Happy New Year Everyone!!

We had a successful kickoff for 2022. 16 sketchers took on the challenge. Happy to see some members we have not seen for awhile, and one new member, Barb Z. Special thanks to Sara, from The Hangar Flight Museum, for helping me set this up.
For those who left early or did not stay for the Photo Op, please send me an image of your sketch. My email address is below in the reminders.

๐ŸŽจ We have been asked not to sell any of our sketches from this event.
๐ŸŽจ The museum would love to post our sketches on their social media. Send me your sketch by Jan 21, Friday noon, and I will forward. I will also include those images I took on Saturday.

Next sketch outing will be from your home on Jan 29. It will be two parts. The week prior I will ask you to send me or post on our facebook page your favorite Calgary Urban Sketch from 2021. These I will post on this website to showcase your work and the year. Thank you Deborah D for this suggestion. I am also going to try and set up a Facebook meeting for 2 hours, where you can sketch something in your home, or finish a sketch, or just play. During that time we can chat or just look at the top of everyone’s head ๐Ÿ˜‚

Happy Sketching Everyone!!

We are passionate about bringing aviation history to life and trust that a visit to our museum will leave you inspired with dreams of flight!”

Please stay home if you feel unwell, or exhibiting any COVID symptons.

Sketching Event: The Lougheed House

Now that was a special sketching event! ๐ŸŽ Such a beautiful home, done up so perfectly in Christmas fun, traditional and contemporary. Thank you to Judy and Shannon from The Lougheed House for making this a successful event. Anne, Cindy and Lucie, sorry you could not be there๐Ÿ˜ž

When you complete your sketch, please submit to me, and I will add to the gallery below, and if possible replace your uncompleted one.

Merry Christmas Everyone & See you in 2022.

Good Fun, and Janice brought her magic hat.

Sketch Outing: Vehicle Sketch #2 โ€“ Christmas Front Lawn Decorations

It is a bit of an understatement that these communities like their Christmas lawn ornaments๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ฒ There was plenty to choose from. ๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿป๐ŸŽ„โ›„๐Ÿ›ทโ„๐ŸŽโœจ๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ 7 sketchers made the outing. The short break in the weather was a gift.

Next sketch outing is Jan 15. As long as Omicron does not put a stop to it, it is at The Hanger Flight Museum. I highly recommend you follow them on your favorite social platform. It may give you ideas as to what you want to sketch. They have some remarkable history to share. You will be required to pay the entrance fee.

Thank you all for your support this year!!! We had 31 events. ๐Ÿ˜Š
Looking forward to sketching with you all in 2022!!!

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays.
May 2022 be a little bit gentler to all.
May you all be well.
